I really don't like making trades just to make a trade but I probably passed up one that maybe I should have taken. I have Kendall Hunter in one league and a 49er fan desparately wants him. He offered me all four of his rookie picks (4)for 2013 for Hunter. I am not a fan of trading for draft picks in the future. I am perhaps insane but that is just the way I am. I am more of a "right now" guy. Heck I don't even buy green bananas.

I made one last night -----nothing earth shattering and I can see how some may not like it----but I do own Pitiful but capable K Smith
Received Leshoure gave Pierre Thomas & Dan Thomas

Best still has value, but someone in Detroit is going to get the 1st, 2nd and goal-line work. My bet is LeShoure. PT is what he is whichbis a flex back at best, and I'm not impresses with Thomas at all from what I watched last season.

My thought process...
I'm still a year away with a very solid young core of WR's and very little talent/depth at RB. I think Reggie's value drops in 2012 as the Dolphins have basically thrown in the towel already by bringing Garrard on board to compete with Moore and moving Marshall. Bush spiked in value at the end of 2011 and now is the time to move him - imo. I also see Gates nearing the end...he'll have value early on in 2012 as Rivers gets accustomed to his new WR's, but physically he is wearing down and he seems to be adding extra weight every season now. I wanted to get some return on those two guys while I could and Bowe was the player I had to part with. I like Torrey Smith's upside a lot and I now have the 1.06, 1.08, 1.11 and 2.06 to try and put something together for a run in 2013.

houdini I like that deal. I think Bush had a fluke year. I kept trying to give gates away all year. I dont know what your full roster is but those guys make good potential starters atleast, with long futures.

I'm not a fan of that deal at all. To me it basically boils down to Bowe being worth more than TSmith and 1.11. Then what you have is Bush, Gates, and 2.02 for Dalton and 1.08. No thanks.

I get that you are a bit away. I just dont see the reason to give up a young Bowe and get back nothing much. The draft picks need to be higher to have real value to me. I can see you feeling you need to make a deal...this just wouldn't be the one if I were doing it

I'm not a fan of that deal at all. I knew this trade would be unpopular among most owners when I posted it. Bush and Gates are worth next to nothing in most leagues and if you think you can get value for either then you obviously haven't tried shopping them around. I also get that Bowe is the most valuable player in the deal.....but he's a semi polarizing WR that when shopped always seems to be far more valuable to the seller than the buyer. This draft is very deep especially at the back end of the 1st. Lets look back at this one at the mid mark of the season and see how it shook out. I think when it's all said and done, those 2 1sts and T. Smith will be a very nice haul. Again, I wasn't looking to sign up members to the Houdini fan club, I just figured posting a pretty unconventional deal would be good for discussion instead of a bunch of "man, you killed it" posts.

T. Smith could easily be D Bowe by 2013. Both have consistency problems but I havent heard about off the field stuff with Smith and he was targeted by the coaches and QB. 1.08 and 1.11 could land you RG3, and a Hill or other high 2nd tier WR in a 4pt per pass td league, making a really solid QB set with Red Rifle. if its a 6 pt TD league you lose out on RG3 but gain another even better WR or a good shot at a stud RB due to Luck and RG3 going top 5.

Thoughts on this one. I give MW(tb) + Best and get Antonio Brown?
