Best of all time is debatable, I'll give you that. I certainly have never seen better. Montana only maybe, but I was pretty young at the time. I can't agree with you on Ben though. On no "best ever" list will you find Ben. In no best ever conversation will you find Ben. Manning is on/in every one...for a reason. I'm just having a hard time with the fact that people seem to be forgetting that fact pretty quick.

Are you guys SERIOUSLY trying to compare the full careers of Manning to Rothy now? Really? Why? Did you read the thread title?
I responded to a post that said Manning was the greatest QB of all time. He's not and I gave valid reasons why.
I responded to a post that said Ben isn't in the same league . Thats also false. The reason this post is up is because it IS close.
If you are a huge Peyton Manning fan that's great, but it dosn't help the discussion here. The facts still remain he's a huge huge question mark this year to even play at an average level.
edit to say I'd love to debate why Manning isn't near the top on another thread. May start one...but I'll keep it off here.

I better chime in here. Ok, I create these to get really good debate going, and yes, sometime any good thread can get a little off-track. If a thread gets off course for a few It's ok as long as we quickly get back to the main question of the thread. If the discussion evolves into a monster side topic I would suggest starting a new thread dedicated to that specific topic. I'll keep it short and sweet. ;D As far as my comment on the original question here I take Roethe. I'm a fan and I still think he's a great buy-low guy. He'll never be a top 5 guy, but I feel more years than not he'll be in that 5-10 range which is good enough to win me a title if I have the right pieces around him. I love Peyton in redraft this year, swing for the fence value pick. If it blows up you start from scratch next season. But, in dynasty he has enough questions or concerns that I would take Roethe. I "think" Peyton will be fine for the next three years, but I just wouldn't be able to pull the trigger on him in a dynasty start-up over Ben.

If Ben or Manning is on your roster the year after you draft them, I will be shocked....lol

I guess that is more my point. How many people on our current rosters have been there for 3 years. Thats why I place less value on age then some people.

I have to take Ben here. He is younger and will put up similar numbers for the next 2 seasons which it realistically all that Peyton has left. Unless you feel Peyton wins you a championship this year I just don't see how you can consider him over Ben
