I'm the defending champ in a ppr, non-IDP, start 2QBs dynasty. My team is fairly stacked:
QB: Eli, Sanchez, Moore, Orton RB: Foster, McCoy, FJax, DWill, BJGE, Hardesty, Hillis, Hightower WR: Fitz, Roddy, Marshall, Lloyd, Titus, V.Brown TE: Gonzo, Daniels, Clark, Chandler
Starters (min): 1QB, 1RB, 3WR, 1TE. There are 3 Flex spots (with some limits) but most start and extra QB and 2 more RBs if they can.
I don't have a 1st or 2nd rounder in the draft (rookies and FA) but have multiple 3rd and later to fill in holes and draft flyers.
My goal is to repeat, and maybe 3-peat. QBs are gold so almost impossible to pry one away so setting that aside I see a possible hole at TE. I see maybe one more year out of Gonzo and don't have overwhelming faith that Daniels can stay healthy (or his QB). And it's becoming increasing likely that Clark is done.
So does anyone see the need, given my goal, of trading Marshall for Gates + Wayne?
I'm leaning towards no, and possibly countering with an RB instead of Marshall, but just thought I'd throw this out there for some feedback.
TIA

Its a decent rationale, but at the end of the. day u are trading a top 5 potentail WR. If you do that deal you should be able to get a guys like V Davis IMO. Gates is also nearing the cliff. Granted Gonzo is dangling over the edge, but I would expect Wayne plus a young potential stud at TE. Even Fred Davis would be better than gates IMO

Not even close IMO. I understand your goal of winning now, but man.

I'd be looking at a 2-for-2 deal where you give up the better WR and the lesser TE and you get the better TE and the lessor WR.
Something like.....Maclin/FDavis for Marshall and OD. This way you get the TE upgrade and you still get a nice WR back. I do a ton of those trades, but it still takes the right owner who is weak at WR and has two good TE's.

I don't mind the Gates part...I don't think he's as done as many predict. With VJax gone, I expect a huge year from Gates this year *huge*. My issue is the Wayne part. He hols no value to me. If you could upgrade that to something like Sid Rice, Meachem, Moore then I'd like the trade for your situation

Given Marshall's off-field antics, I think it's in the ballpark. He obviously should thrive with Cutler again but jeez, word is MIA was just going to release him if they couldn't get something for him. At the rate Marshall's having spousal "accidents" he may be off the field before Wayne... lol
ETA: Thanks for the feedback guys. For reference, the other owner is in full rebuild mode, trading (or trying to trade) away all his vets for young players and or picks. He's also a CHI homer, so he's drooling at the chance to get Marshall. I had offered him Chander, Titus and my 3rd for Gates + Wayne but he declined.

That's a risk I'm willing to take due to future predicted results from him.

Zero chance I trade away Marshall for that. Even with the off the field problems that Marshall carries I would not take on that old talent at any cost
