Team B will give Mathews, Ryan SDC RB Meachem, Robert SDC WR Smith, Steve CAR WR Year 2012 Draft Pick 2.09

I like side A. If McFadden can stay healthy he is easily top 5. Mathews could sneak into the top 5 if everything goes his way, which of course also includes starting 16 games. I like Demayius Thomas quite a bit more than Robert Meachem. People forget that he was drafted ahead of Dez Bryant. Meachem does get his chance to shine but I'm not sure if he grabs it and runs with it. Moore and Smith is just the age difference. I can not say anything bad about Steve Smith. Just a great competitor. Palmer seemed to love Moore so when the guy throwing the ball gushes about his receiver, I think he will get the ball.

Side B by a wide margin.
McFadden is coming off a Lisfranc....do you guys realize that? The raiders tried to cover it up forever. Nobody has seen him attempt any football moves since then. You don't just "magically recover" to 100% from these. And assuming he "magically" does how many healthy seasons ha he had in his entire career again? And what has he ever done behind a ZBS? (answer is: looked like garbage).
You're giving Mathews away for nothing substantial in return. Your only real hope is Thomas pans out extremely well and you can trade him off before Manning breaks/retires.

Well I will take side B as well by a large margin. Dmac not only is < Matthews, it is by a very wide margin...see thread on DMAC posted by gamblers...

Yeah, I'll admit after replying to this thread I couldn't get McFadden out of my head and had to write up a full page explanation on why I don't like the guy *hangs head in shame*

Once again, I'm pretty late to the party with an opinion. Probably by now new opinions won't really matter. However, here's my take on this deal:
The key to this deal is if you believe that McFadden will recover from the Lisfranc injury in time to start the 2012 season, AND if you think even if he does, that he will play a full 16 games in 2012 (something he has never done as a pro). If you believe this, then you do the deal since, in my projections, both Thomas and Moore are going to be special. If you don't believe this, then you don't accept the deal because I believe in the talent of Mathews (although he represents an injury risk of his own).
The one thing that is somewhat overlooked here is the draft pick compensation. I think there are three A level players in this draft (Richardson, Luck, RGIII) and three A1 level players (Blackmon, Floyd and Martin). It's very possible for one of these players to fall to 1.07, making this pick pretty valuable IMO.
