I have both Eli and Ben, used to have Ben ranked higher. now that Eli has surpassed him, what should I be able to get from Ben pick wise? Looking at player trades for an upgrade, but wanna know his pick value to. ;D

Ben is in a volitile position right now. His value is all over the place from owner to owner. Some people I talk to hate him and think he can never be solid QB1 in FFL (at least a 12 team league) and others think hes a top 10 guy.
I think the team is going to change up the offense a bit and be more pass heavy which should give him a good chance to have a good jump.
I think you'd be selling pretty low right now because most of the guys who like him wont pay as much because they know/feel they dont have too. I'd probably lean towards keeping him and trying to trade him if he has a big game or two when more people jump on the bandwagon. Or if you are a believer yourself then maybe got top value for Manning now as his value is about as high as it has ever been and close to his high end limit.
If this is a 12 team league and not a 2 QB starter league, and If we are talking Rookie pick, based on Rookie QB's and plenty of other upside QB outside of top 12....I'd say you'd be hard pressed to get a very late first or early second. I personally would probably only give a late 2nd or early 3rd unless I was desparate at QB and there was no other options out there on the waiver wire.
But as I said earlier, if you got a Big Ben fanatic, you might have some luck getting more.
If its a 2 QB league or other circumstances have limited the availability of QB's on waivers then the answer might change.

I'm currently in the "hate him" camp. I think Haley destroys his value this year. If Wallace somehow leaves as well it's going to be trouble. He's worth a real late first or early 2nd to me.

Yikes, good to know. I'll float him out there for interest, but I'll keep the jerk for now. :-(

Need to wait till Ben's stock is alittle higher. Had a rough late last year, but I don't think you need to panic. I don't think they will lose Wallace and With Brown emerging, they will throw alot. His stock will go up.

He's one of my biggest buy-low QB's personally.

I dont disagree at all that Ben is good buy low guy...but thats just it.....his value is low. He can be had late and potentially could give you top 10 numbers.
I'm not at all against grabbing a guy like Rodgers with a later 1st but tthere are not many QB's I'd jump that early for. After a couple of them I'd simply rather grab guys a bit later that have similar upside and risk.

I had him in one league a few years back and was very happy to be rid of him. Would consider grabbing him on the cheap as my QB2 or but wouldn't go out of my way to get him myself. He does have a highl liklihood to outproduce his current value so if you like him, by all means see if you can steal him now.

Last year was rough for Ben, but I have a sneaky feeling he will bounce back as a top 8 QB in '12. Everyone knows that the passing game is their strength and Haley has proven when he had the weapons with Fitz and Boldin that he utilized them. So, I'm not personally worried about Haley as the OC. This us all assuming Wallace sticks...

His only claim to fame is when he managed a veteran HOF QB, throwing to a future HOF WR and another all pro WR. Honestly I could have been a successful NFL coordinator with those tools. He's petty and vindictive and loves to piss off his stars instead of working with them. I actually see the entire Pitt offense getting worse this year.

That's a solid take Gamblers, it will be interesting b/c Big Ben and that offense has been working one way for a long time now, so Haley IF he was smart needs to tread lightly, but you are right, and I am not a big fan either. It will be very interesting.

I think the jury is still out on Haley. I tend to think it'll be fine due to the way the offense is currently built. Also, in '10 Cassel finished 11th among QB's at just under 19ppg, surely we give Roethe more of a chance with Haley than we do Cassel right?

You're assuming he doesn't get pissed off at Ben and bench him right? Or decided to put him in a QB timeshare with some old broken down scrub to keep Ben "fresh".
