12 team ppr dynasty. This trade would kill my RB core this year, but I am playing on house money this year after winning the SB last year, and I would be getting my favorite player in FF.
I give: AJG, Charles, Vick
I get: Calvin, Tolbert, Stafford
I was offered Calvin for AJG and Charles a week ago but rejected it. But if I could get Stafford, would that make it worth having almost nothing at RB besides Richardson for this upcoming season?
And this other team also has Cook. Should I consider adding Gates for Cook to that offer if I want to really rebuild? Or should I just keep what I have and hope to contend and get lucky with my current picks?
Current Roster: (we start 1qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1te, 1 flex at rb/wr/te)
Vick, Fitzpartrick, Gabbert Charles, Hillis, Scott, Powell, K. Bell AJG, Marshall, Steve Smith, Ford, Boldin, James Jones, Doucet Gates 1.1, 1.7, 1.11, 1.12, 3.12

Value wise I normally would...but ouch, your RBs are hurting. Even with TRich, you almost have to hold onto Charles.
I'd hold.

Yeah, ur hurting but I def pull the trigger. U get two sweet upgrades. Stafford is top 3 and Calvin #1 w/ a bullet. Charles is coming off injury just got kicked in the nuts by the Hillis signing, and I think Hillis will have a big impact on charles. I would also try and get cook w/ gates if you can. U will get t-rich at 1.01 and can add Miller or Wilson @ 1.07 and maybe even a Polk at 1.11. You will be able to cover your bases

I do this trade in a heart beat, this team is on the verge of falling a part IMO. Vick, Smitty, Gates, Boldin are all ready to fall off the map at any given notice, and each of them have the chance to do that this year. This is a foundation-building trade, unless you are willing to sacrifice this for a repeat chance. In that case you pass. The main piece you're losing in Charles will struggle to maintain his current value over the length of the season anyways. I do the deal, but who are his other RB's first? Let's try and trade out Tolbert for something different if possible...
Stafford, TRich, Calvin and Marshall is a good foundation. If you make this trade you need to then look at moving the 1.7 and something for Bradshaw or the 1.7 for Reggie Bush. If you can get a quality RB2 on the cheap you may not need to rebuild. If not then you'll want to trade Smitty, Gates and Boldin next.

Think you read that wrong...he's trading AWAY AJG.
If he refuses the trade he can still build around AJG, Marshall, TRich, and Charles. Two good young WRs and RBs while still having a solid vet at QB in Vick thats good for 4-5 more years.
If he takes it he's pretty well screwed this year and going forward at the RB position. He will have one unproven rookie in TRich and Hillis as his RB2 with no bye week filler. Just about no shot of making hte playoffs with that.

Didn't mean to type AJG there, he's getting two MONSTER upgrades. He can find some cheap RB's next... he still has pieces to make more moves. I play FF like I play chess where I look past what my starting lineup will look like after the initial trade on the table. I look at the pieces I'll still have left along with the potential holes of other teams where I can see a potential deal next with my trade pieces left over.

Calvin > AJG, however AJG is a younger wr with a lot of potential and a lot to prove. He may reach Calvin levels later in his career. But as a WR aspect, I'd have to give a slight edge to Calvin here still speaking in terms of Dynasty leagues. Calvin is still very young. Charles > Tolbert - This would have been a different story if Tolbert say landed in Cleveland and was a lead back or even in Oakland as there second RB. However, Tolbert landed in Carolina as a RB3 but most likely will be used as a FB. Very, Very little fantasy impact and I like Tolbert but it's not realistic to expect much or anything from him to put him ahead Charles. Even after injury and landing in a new timeshare with Hillis, Charles is heads above Tolbert by atmospheric levels. Stafford > Vick : I'd take the younger Staffod over Vick, both on youth and possible performance. I think the Stafford > Vick outplays the loss of Charles > Tolbert. Though, you do make an excellent point on his lack of RB, though I do think he can replace and fill it in with TRich and another RB at 1.07. It depends if he wants to make the playoffs this year or not, though Charles might not be as effective as perform coming off an injury and splitting time with another RB that had promise of leading an offense by himself.

owner I sent this too said it was very close, be rejected. I hate to raise a white flag on the season, so I'm okay with it. Worth a shot for sure.

Okay, I got this counter, seriously considering it.
I give: Vick, AJG, Charles, Steve Smith Panthers
I get: Stafford, Calvin, Cook, Tolbert
I would be waiving the white flag on this year, but this would set my team up better for the long term. Worth it?

just accepted the offer. Now I gotta get really lucky in draft or on the wire at RB to compete, but felt it was worth the risk to get Calvin, Stafford, and Cook. Thoughts?

I like it, now you have to decide if you want to use your 1.7, 1.11 and 1.12 to find a RB or 2 in order to compete or if you're going to try and develop through a rebuild period....

Well I feel like its a rebuild regardless, but I think I should be able to go RB and WR with those 3 1st rounders. I am also shopping Gates but I'm not sure he'll bring now what he might if he comes out of the gate strong and healthy. Without V-Jax i would think he'll get a lot of targets until Rivers gets a rapport with Meachem.
